Frequently Asked Questions
Will these videos take lot of bandwidth and shoot up my internet bill?
The video size is significantly less than the other youtube videos. This helps those who have slow internet connection and does not shoot up the data transfer.
My child learns all this in the school, how can he/she benefit from this?
What your child learns in the school is important and I don’t undermine that. However, in most Indian schools, there are 40 to 60 students in every class and it is practically impossible for the teachers to complete the curriculum and at the same time provide personal attention to every student. These videos can be played several times until you understand the concept or can be watched just to revise your studies. This is more like “a teacher at home, anytime and for free”.
How can these videos be useful to the students from rural area or those who do not have internet access?
I'll be happy to give the videos on CD’s or flash drives so that those who do not have internet connection can also access it. I hope the organizations working in the remote and rural areas make use of it. Computers are available now-a-days even at remote places. If you are an NGO (non government organization) working in the field of child education and wish to get these videos on a CD, please write to me with your details and I'll send it to you free of charge.
How can the videos benefit the vernacular medium students?
For the vernacular medium students, the English videos make the transition to English easy. It helps to learn the terminologies in English.
